A shy cat who's worth getting to know
Ten-year-old Namuru came to ARK many years ago as one of six cats taken in when their owner became ill. Namuru is much like the shy girl at a school dance, a flower, but, yes, standing by the wall.

Valiant is his name, valiant is his character
Valiant is just like his name: handsome, affectionate and energetic. He came to ARK four years ago when he was just a month old and, unfortunately, he's been there ever since. When he first arrived at the shelter, he had been brought in with a bunch of other dogs. You see, they were all rescued from a senile priest who really did nothing for the dogs as they were left to run wild and fend for themselves.

The beauty of an Egyptian goddess, a sense of mischief like a Greek god
This handsome fellow came to ARK in May as a very young kitten and turns 1 year old next month. His name is Pewter and, admittedly, there is nothing very pewter-like about him. However, the earliest piece of pewter was found in an Egyptian tomb from 1450 B.C. and, with his big ears, pointed face and slender body, Pewter does rather resemble Bastet, a warrior goddess from the days of Ancient Egypt.
