Lovely, who is now just turning 3, was rescued as a kitten by a kind soul and adopted by an elderly lady in the neighborhood. Sadly, that lady recently passed away and none of her three sons would, as they had promised, take Lovely.
She was alone in the house for a week. Though some food was left for her, it remained mostly untouched by the terribly stressed and mourning Lovely.
When ARK was called in, she went into hiding and it took six hours to catch her. Friendly with her former owner, Lovely still has a ways to go to warm to her foster parent. Her affectionate side comes out at night and she’ll let herself be stroked as long as there’s no eye contact. Toys are her friends and she’ll lose herself in them and forget she’s afraid.
