Tottori: Tottori Shan-Shan Matsuri

Festival featuring a dancing parade by townspeople in fancy attire or Yukata, each holding a colorful Kasa (umbrella) with small bells. While dancing, the bells sound iconic "shan-shan" noise, thus the name of this festival.

Schedule & Key events:
● Aug. 14 4 p.m.-9 p.m. Parade by about 4,000 participants on Wakasa-kaido Street and Chizu-kaido Street ● Aug. 15 8 p.m.-9 p.m. Fireworks display (5,000 fireworks) over Sendai-gawa River
