Nara: Chugen Man-toro

Ceremony of lighted lanterns. Some 3,000 lanterns in total including stone lanterns on the approach from the second Torii Shrine's gate to the south gate, are lighted up to console the ancestors' souls.

from 6:30 p.m.: Bugaku (ancient court dance with music) performance at the main hall

from 6:30 p.m.: Kagura performance at the main hall

Access:
JR Nara Line to Nara Sta. or Kintetsu Nara Line to Kintetsu Nara Sta. From there, take Nara Kotsu bus to Kasuga Taisha Honden Bus Stop (15 min.)
