First fair of Daruma. Many open-air stalls selling Daruma, foods and drinks are set up and various performances including Japanese dance, Taiko (Japanese drum) and Shamisen(banjo-like instrument) are held during the festival period.
Another Daruma fair is also held at Shorinzan Daruma-ji Temple in the city on Jan. 6 - Jan. 7.
