Momiji Nishiya won the fourth Paris Olympics qualifying event in the women's street event on Saturday, with the Tokyo Games gold medalist also securing her first win on the World Skateboarding Tour.

The 16-year-old scored 259.81 points, bettering compatriot and runner-up Yumeka Oda, who notched 249.77, and Paige Heyn in third after the American logged 243.93 in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Nishiya snatched the title with her final fifth attempt in the best trick phase when she scored 86.91 to rise to the top.

"I'm really happy. I'd decided on winning this event," Nishiya said. "I could do it as my family, coaching staff and many people cheered me on till the end. I'm really grateful."

Toa Sasaki came second for Japan's best finish in the men's event, his 270.53 not enough to beat American winner Nyjah Huston's 275.94. Giovanni Vianna of Brazil was third with 268.06.
