Yokozuna Kakuryu and sekiwake Tochinoshin both suffered upsets on Wednesday at the Summer Grand Sumo Tournament, with each falling one win behind rank-and-file wrestler Asanoyama on a bad day all-around for the sport's elites.

Kakuryu was pushed out by No. 5 maegashira Myogiryu (4-7) in the final bout of Day 11 at Tokyo's Ryogoku Kokugikan, while Tochinoshin was shoved off the dohyo by No. 4 Abi (7-4). Both wrestlers took their second losses of the 15-day meet.

"I'm happy," said Myogiryu, who picked up his fourth career kinboshi prize that goes to a maegashira for defeating a yokozuna.
