LOS ANGELES – Ryo Ishikawa has pulled out of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am with lower back pain, it was learned Wednesday.
Sources said Ishikawa experienced discomfort in his back while playing at last week’s Phoenix Open in Arizona, where he missed the cut.
Hiroshi Iwata is playing in the tournament starting Thursday at Pebble Beach, but Hideki Matsuyama, who defeated American Rickie Fowler in a four-hole playoff to claim his second PGA Tour win at the Phoenix Open, is not taking part.
