Kashiwa Reysol center back Daisuke Suzuki confirmed on Tuesday that Spanish first-division side Rayo Vallecano has made an offer for him and indicated he is ready to move after the start of the new year.

"I've always had the will to one day play abroad," said the 25-year-old, who helped Japan finish fourth in the London Olympics, partnering with Southampton's Maya Yoshida and has since been capped twice by the senior side.

Suzuki joined J. League first-division club Albirex Niigata in 2008 and spent five seasons there before joining Kashiwa Reysol in 2013. He has scored eight goals in 145 matches in his career.

Rayo currently sit 12th in La Liga on 13 points, claiming four wins in 11 games.
