Japan and Inter Milan defender Yuto Nagatomo aggravated an injury he suffered during the Asian Cup and was taken off the pitch 36 minutes into Sunday's 3-0 Serie A victory at home against Palermo.

Nagatomo who had felt some pain in the back of his right thigh during Japan's Asian Cup campaign, was visibly dragging his right leg as he walked off the pitch in Milan. He did not respond to questions after the game.

The left back had been having an impressive game. His defending set up the corner from which Inter scored its opener. But just after 30 minutes, Nagatomo caught his leg on an opponent's. He played on after that, but then stopped and sat down while applying pressure to his right hamstring.
