Kei Nishikori will play Spaniard David Ferrer at the ATP World Tour Finals in London on Thursday after his scheduled opponent Milos Raonic pulled out of the season-ending event the same day.

World No. 5 Nishikori had been scheduled to face eighth-ranked Raonic in his final Group B match but the Canadian told a press conference that he was pulling out of the tournament due to injury.

As a result, Nishikori will play alternate Ferrer instead.

Nishikori won his opener against Britain's Andy Murray before losing his second match against Roger Federer.
