South Korean prosecutors on Monday fined Japanese swimmer Naoya Tomita 1 million won (about ¥100,000) for stealing a camera belonging to a South Korean media organization at the 17th Asian Games.

The 25-year-old Tomita had been ordered to remain in the athletes’ village while awaiting punishment, after admitting last week to stealing a camera worth 8 million won (about ¥830,000).
