Shintaro Fujinami (1-2) allowed two runs in seven innings, homered and earned the win as the Hanshin Tigers dispatched the Hiroshima Carp 8-2 on Tuesday.

Fujinami surrendered four hits in two walks, pitching the Tigers to their sixth straight win. He struck out seven at Mazda Stadium.

"It feels good to get that first win out of the way," said Fujinami, who turned 20 on Saturday. "The team is really on a roll now, playing well and the hitters have just been in great form. They gave me a lot of run support and made it easy on me. I'm thankful for that."
