The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles topped Group B of the Asia Series with a 6-3 win against the Canberra Cavalry on Sunday.
The Japan Series champions scored three runs in the top of the second inning thanks to Shota Koseki's bases-loaded double before adding a run each in the third, fifth and eighth.
Satoshi Nagai allowed three earned runs in five innings for the win.
The Eagles, who beat the EDA Rhinos 6-1 on Friday, face the runnersup from Pool A in Tuesday's semifinals, either the Samsung Lions or the Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions.
