SENDAI (Kyodo) Brazilian striker Marquinhos will be back in Japan tormenting defenses again this season after Vegalta Sendai on Friday announced the acquisition of the 34-year-old journeyman.
Sendai will be Marquinhos’ sixth J1 club. He joined Tokyo Verdy in 2001 and had stints with Yokohama F. Marinos, JEF United Ichihara and Shimizu S-Pulse before spearheading Kashima Antlers to three successive championship titles from 2007 to 2009.
