SAITAMA (Kyodo) Shigeru Suzuki, the newly appointed president of Omiya Ardija, said Thursday a special ethics panel will be established to prevent a repeat of an attendance scandal that has dragged the name of the modest J. League club through the mud.

"I want to make an effort to clean up the club, which is loved by its supporters and the local community," Suzuki told a news conference in Saitama.

Suzuki said officials from outside the NTT Group, Ardija's main financial backer, will also be invited to implement organizational reform of the club.
