Chen Wei-yin pitched eight shutout innings and Atsushi Fujii went 4-for-4 with an RBI, leading the Chunichi Dragons to a 4-2 win over the Hiroshima Carp on Tuesday.
Chen (7-2) allowed three hits, all singles, with three walks and four strikeouts at Mazda Stadium. Fujii opened the scoring with an RBI single in the second inning.
Lee Byung Kyu made it 2-0 in the fourth with his first home run of the season. Hirokazu Ibata delivered a run-scoring single in the seventh off Kenta Maeda (5-12) and Kazuyoshi Tatsunami added a pinch-hit RBI double in the ninth.
