TOYOTA, Aichi Prefecture (Kyodo) Overnight leader Yuko Mitsuka retained a two-shot lead after shooting a roller coaster 1-under 71 in the second round of the Chukyo TV Bridgestone Ladies Open on Saturday.
Mitsuka, a three-time winner on the Japan LPGA tour, had seven birdies, four bogeys and a double bogey for a two-day total of 6-under 138 at Chukyo Golf Club.
South Korean Lim Eun A and Maiko Wakabayashi carded 71s to share second place.
Seven players tied for fourth at 2-under, including tour veteran Akiko Fukushima (72) and rookie Kumiko Kaneda (73).
Sakura Yokomine (72), who has finished in the top 10 for eight consecutive tournaments, is in a tie for 11th, a further shot behind.
