ITO, Shizuoka Pref. (Kyodo) Tamie Durdin claimed her maiden victory on the Japan LPGA tour on Sunday at the weather-hit Fujisankei Ladies Classic.

The 32-year-old from Adelaide stood atop the leaderboard at the completion of the second round Sunday and took the title after gusting winds at Kawana Hotel Golf Course forced organizers to suspend and eventually cancel the final round.

Durdin, who was at 5-under after nine holes when heavy rain suspended Saturday's second round, had two birdies in the remainder of her round en route to a 67 and a 36-hole total of 7-under 137, three shots clear of South Korean Shin Ji Yai.
