OSAKA (Kyodo) Hiroyuki Hisataka will take another crack at the WBA flyweight crown against Thai champion Denkaosan Kaowichit at a yet-to-be-named venue in Thailand on May 26, his gym said Monday.

Twelfth-ranked Hisataka will be challenging for the title for a second time after he lost to compatriot and then champion Takefumi Sakata on unanimous decision in Tokyo last July.

Denkaosan sent Sakata to a stunning second-round defeat in Hiroshima on New Year's Eve.

"It will be tough to win a decision away from home. I have confidence in my straight right and will knock Denkaosan out with it," said Hisataka.

The winner of the bout will be obliged to accept a meeting with top-ranked Japanese fighter Koki Kameda.
