The 38-year-old Okabe earned 296.5 points after leaps of 141 and 139 meters on the K-120 Okurayama hill, a day after his season-opening winning streak ended at four with an 11th-place showing at the HTB Cup.

Akira Higashi was a distant second with 273.8 points. Noriaki Kasai and Daiki Ito shared third on 269.3, followed in fifth by Kazuyoshi Funaki on 259.6.

It was Okabe's first STV Cup title in three years and third overall.
