NAGOYA (Kyodo) Chunichi Dragons left-hander Chen Wei-yin has turned down an invitation to pitch for Taiwan in the World Baseball Classic.
Chen informed the Chinese Taipei Baseball Association of his decision Friday, while saying in Japan, "My shoulder and elbow are bothering me. To me, the season is more important."
