HANNO, Saitama Pref. (Kyodo) Mayu Hattori birdied two of the final three holes in a final-round 69 Sunday to win the Hisako Higuchi IDC Otsuka Ladies for her first career victory on the Japan LPGA tour.

The 20-year-old Hattori, who is in her second year as a professional, made five birdies against two bogeys to beat Esther Lee of South Korea by one stroke with a 6-under 210 total at Musashigaoka Golf Course.

Hattori bogeyed the 11th but regrouped nicely to birdied the 13th, 16th and 17th, which featured a momentum-shifting putt that she drained from more than 50 feet to put her in a tie with overnight leader Chie Arimura.

"That was a miracle! I was just thinking that I could save par in that situation," said Hattori.
