Takahiko G.G. Sato homered and drove in three runs to back a complete-game effort by Hideaki Wakui as the Pacific League leading Seibu Lions defeated the Yakult Swallows 7-2 in interleague action Thursday.

Sato was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to break a 1-1 tie in the third inning and hit a two-run homer over the fence in left in the seventh at Seibu Dome. Seibu became the fastest team to reach 30 wins in either league.

Wakui (5-3) allowed two runs, despite scattering 10 hits, while striking out five and walking one. Yakult rookie left-hander Kyohei Muranaka (3-5) got roughed up for five runs in four innings.
