Akihiro Yano and Tomoaki Kanemoto each hit a solo homer as the Hanshin Tigers sent the Yomiuri Giants to their season-worst fourth straight loss with a 2-1 win Tuesday night.
Yano and Kanemoto connected off Tetsuya Utsumi (7-5) in the sixth and seventh innings, respectively, before a Yoshitomo Tani RBI single pulled Yomiuri within a run in the eighth at Tokyo Dome.
Shinobu Fukuhara (2-5) picked up his first win since May 10, holding the Central League-leading Giants to three hits in six shutout innings with no walks and four strikeouts.
Kyuji Fujikawa got the final four outs for his 20th save. Utsumi threw eight strong innings but lacked run support.

In Hiratsuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, Kenta Asakura pitched eight innings of one-run ball and Masahiko Morino hit a two-run homer as second-place Chunichi beat Yokohama to pull within two games of the Giants.
Asakura (6-5) won his third straight start, pitching a shutout until an RBI groundout by Ryoji Aikawa in the eighth. The right-hander also helped his own cause with an RBI single in a two-run second..
Morino hit his career-high 10th home run of the season in the third off Hayato Terahara (6-6). Hitoki Iwase closed out the ninth to earn his league-leading 22nd save.

At Tokyo’s Jingu Stadium, Alex Ramirez went 4-for-5 with a three-run homer and four RBIs as Yakult beat Hiroshima to extend its winning streak to six games.
Ramirez broke a scoreless tie in the fifth inning with his 11th home run of the season off veteran right-hander Shinji Sasaoka (2-5) and added an RBI double in the eighth.
Norichika Aoki had an RBI infield single in the sixth among his three hits.
