TORONTO – Japan will face 2005 runnerup Nigeria, Scotland, and Costa Rica at this year’s Under-20 World Cup in Canada following the draw in Toronto on Saturday.
Japan opens its campaign against Scotland on July 1 and will play Costa Rica on July 4 before wrapping up its Group F campaign three days later against Nigeria. All three of Japan’s group-stage matches will be played in Victoria.
