Chunichi Dragons left-hander Shigeki Noguchi is set to file for free agency and expected to draw interest from several teams, including the Yomiuri Giants and Hanshin Tigers, baseball sources said Saturday.

Noguchi, who met the requirements to become a free agent earlier this year, recently told Chunichi officials that he will submit necessary documents to the Central League club next Monday, the sources said.

Noguchi, who has an 80-78 record with a 3.67 ERA in his 12-year career, posted a career-high 19 wins in 1999 when he helped Chunichi win the CL title and was named the league's Most Valuable Player.

Noguchi also won the ERA title in 1998 and 2001 before injuries limited him to a total of 18 wins in the last four seasons.

This year, the 31-year-old went 3-6 with a 4.00 ERA in 13 games.
