I.J. Chang of South Korea shot a hole-in-one to seal a sizzling 7-under-par 64 and take a one-shot lead at the midway point of the Fujisankei Classic on Friday. Chang bogeyed the first hole at the par-71 Fujizakura Country Club but came roaring back with six birdies and mishit a 5-iron only to see his tee shot land within 5 meters of the pin and disappear into the cup on the tricky par-3 16th. Daisuke Maruyama shot a 68 and shared second place with Thailand's Prayad Marksaeng, who carded a 65.

Golf 5 Ladies

MIZUNAMI, Gifu Pref. (Kyodo) South Korea's Lee Ji Hee and Japan's Yukari Baba both carded 6-under-par 66s to share the lead after the first round of the Golf 5 Ladies on Friday. Lee overcame a bogey on her first hole to knock down seven birdies to move atop the leaderboard with Baba, who shot an eagle, five birdies and a bogey at Mizunami Country Club.
