Junko Omote, who claimed her first career victory at the Chateraise Queen’s Cup last week, maintained her momentum to shoot a 5-under-par 67 and took a share of the lead after the first round of the Stanley Ladies on Friday.

Omote made six birdies against one bogey at Tomei Country Club in Shizuoka Prefecture, finishing the day at the top of the leaderboard along with Kasumi Fujii and Hiromi Mogi in the 60 million yen event.
