Little-known Takao Nogami and Yutaka Horinouchi signaled their title intentions with solid 4-under-par 67s to join Katsumasa Miyamoto at the top of the leaderboard after the second round of the Woodone Open on Friday.

Nogami put himself in with a chance of celebrating his 34th birthday with a first tour win by reeling off five straight birdies from the second while Horinouchi had six birdies against a pair of bogeys to a share the lead with Miyamoto on a 36-hole total of 7-under 135.
