SHIBATA, Miyagi Pref. – South Korea’s S.K. Ho completed a wire-to-wire victory at the JCB Classic Sendai tournament Sunday after shooting a solid 2-under-par 69 in the final round for his fifth career title on the Japanese tour and second this year.
Ho made two birdies in a blemish-free round and held off a late charge by Shinichi Yokota on his way to a one-short victory at a 19-under 265 total on the par-71 Omote Zao Kokusai Golf Club course.
The 20 million yen winner’s paycheck out of the 100 million yen purse moved the 31-year-old, who won the Japan PGA Championship for the second straight year three weeks ago, to the top of this year’s money list with 51.7 million yen.
