Soko Yamaoka produced a solid display to capture her first women’s halfpipe title of the season at a World Cup competition on Saturday.

Yamaoka earned a 40.2 score on her first run in Lake Placid, good enough to give her victory over Canadian Mercedes Nicoll and compatriot Mero Narita for a fourth overall World Cup title.
