Tokyo won the bidding race to host the 2007 World Figure Skating Championships, the International Skating Union said after an executive meeting at The Hague on Sunday.
It will be the fifth time Japan will host the World Championship following 1977 (Tokyo), 1985 (Tokyo), 1994 (Chiba) and 2002 (Nagano).
The 2007 event is scheduled to take place at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.
