Shinichiro Akiyama clinched his Japan Racing Association career 300th victory on Saturday when he placed first atop Nihonpillow Aisha in the second race at Chukyo Racecourse. The 24-year-old Akiyama, whose first career victory came in March 1997, has eight graded race victories to his credit, including the Kobe Shimbun Cup in 1998 and the Keio Cup Nisai Stakes in 2002.
