Kie Kusakabe has pulled out of the upcoming Fukuoka International Women's Judo Championships because of a damaged ligament in her left knee, event organizers said Friday. Sydney Olympic bronze medalist Kusakabe, who was due to take part in the 57-kg class in the Dec. 13-14 meet at Fukuoka Kokusai Center, won the weight category in last year's tournament.
