MIKI, Hyogo Pref. (Kyodo) Taiwan's Tu Ai-yu carded a 4-under-par 68 to take a one-shot lead over Australia's Karrie Webb after the first round of the Masters GC Ladies on Friday.
Tu ran in five birdies, including three straight from her first hole before blotting her scorecard with her only bogey of the day on the 18th at Masters Golf Club in Hyogo Prefecture.
Six-time major winner Webb, who is currently 11th on the U.S. LPGA money list, birdied five holes against a pair of bogeys for a 69 while Michiko Hattori and Chieko Amanuma were among a group of nine players tied in third on 70.
