DENVER – Yuta Tabuse, currently named to the 20-man roster of the Denver Nuggets, became the first Japanese player ever to take part in an NBA training camp when the Nuggets’ preseason workout session began Tuesday.
Tabuse, a former Toyota Alvark player, inked a contract with the Nuggets in September and will be looking to make the cut when the Midwest Division team selects 12 players for the final squad in addition to substitute bench players before the Oct. 28 season opener.
