Japan's Shizuka Arakawa and Mie Onda claimed two spots on the podium behind American Jennifer Kirk in the women's competition at the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships on Sunday.

Arakawa, who failed in her bid for a second straight Olympic appearance, overcame an incomplete combination jump to finish runnerup ahead of third-place Onda, a Japanese representative for next month's Salt Lake City Olympics.

In the men's final Saturday, Takeshi Honda finished second, behind champion Jeffrey Buttle of Canada.
