Japan’s oldest panda, Tan Tan, dies at 28
The giant panda leased from China lived in Kobe Oji Zoo for 24 years as a symbol of recovery from the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake.
Oji Zoo in Kobe said Wednesday that it will delay the return of a giant female panda named Tan Tan to China by another year as the animal undergoes medical treatment.
