Akitomo Takeno nailed the game-winning basket with 5 seconds remaining to lift the Niigata Albirex BB to a 74-73 triumph over the host Ryukyu Golden Kings on Sunday.
The Albirex (5-9) snapped a six-game losing streak.
Dokun Akingbade scored a team-best 20 points for Niigata and pulled down 13 rebounds. Calvin Chitwood added 17 points, Takeno had 14 and Yuichi Ikeda added 12.
