Sharp Corp. said Thursday it will launch a digital portable music player on April 15 in a bid to take a 15 percent share of the domestic market in one year.
The card-shaped players can record music from personal computers, CD players, radio receivers and Internet music sites, Sharp said.
The 512-megabyte version can record up to about 240 songs and will sell for around 20,000 yen. The 256-megabyte version will cost approximately 15,000 yen, the firm said.
