Fifty-four Kokugakuin University students wearing colorful traditional costumes take part in Seijin Kakanshiki, a Shinto ritual linked to nobility from the Nara Period (710-794). The event, for young adults who turned 20 during the current fiscal year, was organized by the university's Faculty of Shinto Studies in Tokyo's Shibuya Ward on Saturday, ahead of Monday's Coming-of-Age national holiday. | RYUSEI TAKAHASHI
