Jason Statham stars in this remake of the 1975's cult classic "Death Race 2000" as an ex-racing driver framed for murder, imprisoned and then forced into driving a heavily armored car in a deadly race that is broadcasted online as a pay-per-view reality show. What follows is a torturing hour of ultraviolent races, most of which are shot in closeups, making it difficult to know whose car is winning (if you care). Can't blame the people at a local theater who turned on their mobile phones during the screening to check the time.
