For 30 hours in 2002, Oliver Stone interviewed the long-time Cuban President, Fidel Castro. Under the condition that he could stop the filming anytime he wanted, Castro answered Stone's questions, ranging from the death of Che Guevara, human-rights abuses and Cuba's involvement in the Vietnam War to movies, Viagra and JFK's assassination (Castro pleases Stone by saying, "I have never believed in the theory of the lone gunman"). The revolutionary leader easily parries controversial topics while talking sincerely about others. Many of the questions seem like softballs, but it is certain that even hardballs wouldn't shake this formidable figure — Castro is undeniably charismatic.
