Bronte arrived at ARK this past March. A Kai ken breed, he was rescued from a hoarding situation where he had been living in squalid conditions with 11 other dogs.
At 3 years old, Bronte is still very young and has shown absolutely no aggression since being rescued despite having grown up in an environment that was fraught with danger. In fact, he loves people — he enjoys sitting in laps (although he’s no featherweight at 16 kilograms) and licking faces.
Always gentle, Bronte has the exotic brown-and-black coat Kai dogs are known for. His big heart and disarming friendliness have charmed everyone who has met him so far.
Bronte loves good food and going on walks, and he finds it especially thrilling to race around the dog run with his buddies. Some of his fellow canines can find his gregariousness annoying, but Bronte is never annoyed with them.
Handsome, playful and affectionate, Bronte scores a perfect 10 out of 10 — a winner any way you look at him.
