Mitsubishi Motors Corp. said Monday it will showcase the CA-MiEV electric concept car at a 10-day auto show from April 20 in Shanghai to promote EVs in China amid increasing eco-awareness.

The CA-MiEV, which embodies MMC's idea of what EVs should be like in the future, features a highly efficient battery as well as advanced technologies that enable users to control air-conditioning and management systems for charging through smartphones and tablet computers. The model has a cruising range of 300 km.

MMC will also display the G4 next-generation compact sedan that it plans to roll out in the global market.

The model has achieved high fuel efficiency thanks to weight reduction and a light and compact 1.2-liter advanced engine, it said.
