Kuroda withdraws WBC candidacy
LOS ANGELES (Kyodo) Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Hiroki Kuroda has withdrawn his candidacy for next year's World Baseball Classic, citing a shoulder that has failed to heal properly, baseball sources said Friday.
