FUKUOKA (Kyodo) Fukuoka Softbank Hawks manager Sadaharu Oh on Wednesday reiterated his stance that he will not become Japan's manager for the second World Baseball Classic in March 2009 due to health concerns.
"I'm not going to do it. I mean, I can't do it," said Oh, who underwent a successful operation in July 2006 to remove his stomach after being diagnosed with stomach cancer four months after guiding Japan to the inaugural WBC title.
