Slovenia’s Ema Klinec claimed a historic gold, Norway’s Maren Lundby took silver and Japan’s Sara Takanashi won bronze in the ski jumping normal hill event at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Germany on Thursday.

The 22-year-old Klinec, who became the first Slovenian female ski jumping world champion, faced fierce competition and tough conditions on the hill in Oberstdorf.
