Ryoyu Kobayashi won his second straight FIS Ski Jumping Grand Prix event on home soil Saturday to conclude a two-day series.

The podium looked the same for the second day in a row and was topped by Kobayashi with jumps of 136 and 129.5 meters. His compatriots Keiichi Sato and Yukiya Sato placed second and third, respectively, in Hakuba, Nagano, Prefecture.

"I thought I wouldn't lose if I didn't mess up a lot," Kobayashi said. "My timing was off on the second jump, but overall I think it was good."

Kobayashi's older brother Junshiro came in fourth, while Daiki Ito and Naoki Nakamura followed in sixth and seventh.

Kobayashi, who earned 13 wins on the World Cup circuit last season and was crowned overall champion, picked up his fourth Grand Prix win over the last two seasons.

Last week, Sara Takanashi clinched the women's Grand Prix title for the eighth straight year.
